Our Staff - Meet Kirsty! Our Pre-School Manager

We’re so proud of our wonderful team of staff who take such good care of our children. They are well qualified and receive regular training as well as working towards higher childcare qualifications.

Kirsty Clarke, Auchenblae Pre-School's Manager. Kirsty is continually adding to her knowledge of Pre-school children's development, studying the various ways in which children learn through different types of play and interactions.

Between them they have recently received training in Paediatric Emergency First Aid, Child Protection, Managing Behaviour, Effective Risk Management, Food Hygiene, Speech & Language, GDPR Law, Infection Control, Thinking & Talking Floor Books, Schemas and Observations.

Kirsty is our fantastic manager and leader, super organised and approachable with a great vision to move the pre-school forward

Kirsty is passionate about children's learning, keeping up with the latest studies on the best approaches to children's development such as Schemas, which reveals how children learn through play, and Loose Parts, a type of play which has been shown to increase levels of creative and imaginative play, team play and socialising; also to encourage more physical activity, communication and negotiating skills when added to an outdoor space.

Kirsty has been adding to her learning over the last year accumulating certificates in Infection Control, Early Years in Nature, Froebelian Course - Element 1, Health and Social Care Standards, Benefit Risk Assessment and Schema. 

We feel very proud to have her as our manager and thank her for all her enthusiasm and pride in her work!
